Ebuyer enters eSports by sponsoring UK organisation FMESPORTS

Ebuyer, the online technology retailer, has entered the world of eSports by sponsoring UK team FMESPORTS.

The deal will begin in September and initially runs for six months, although there is an option to extend this further depending on how it works out for both parties. This is Ebuyer’s first major venture into eSports.

FMESPORTS is one of the biggest UK eSports organisations, with teams and players in multiple titles. While they have had little success internationally or in the upper levels of any major eSport, they have been one of the most dominant names in the UK scene, often winning at events such as Insomnia. Many of the organisation’s teams are currently competing at i58 in Birmingham.

We’re extremely happy to be partnering up with Ebuyer, one of the biggest names in UK online retail,” said FMESPORTS manager Darren Ball. It was clear from the get-go that both parties shared the same passion for progressing in the esports and gaming sectors and after meeting with many of Ebuyer’s staff, we knew that it would be a perfect match. We look forward to working with Ebuyer on some very interesting projects in the near future and we thank them for their support in the UK esports scene!”

Ebuyer.com are delighted to be formally part of the eSports world and saw the opening with such an ambitious team as a great chance to make a mark on the sport,” said Andy Roberts, head of marketing at Ebuyer. Ebuyer.com’s involvement in eSports is a great fit for both organisations. As a leading retailer of electronics and experts in gaming, we saw a partnership with FM eSports as a fantastic opportunity to grow and succeed in this exciting sector.”
