ELEAGUE Major grand finals becomes first single Twitch stream to break a million viewers

Over the weekend we saw the final of the ELEAGUE Major, and it turns out a lot of other people did as well, as the stream ended up breaking records.

The english language stream for the final day broke the record for the most number of concurrent viewers on a single stream, with over 1,026,000 tuning in towards the end of the event. This smashed the previous record, set by ESL One Cologne, which was 890,000.

Of course this figure is not the total amount of viewers, as there was multiple streams in other languages and of course the TBS broadcast in the states, which will have made the final number a lot higher.

Astralis ended up lifting the trophy in dramatic fashion, staging an impressive comeback after being 1-0 in the best of three.
