Escape Gaming parts ways with Dota 2 team

Escape gaming has not renewed the contracts of its Dota 2 team, with the players expected to make an announcement in the coming days.

Escape initially picked up the No Diggity side just before the TI6 qualifiers, which Escape eventually came third in. They then went to TI6 under the Escape banner but finished in last place. The team’s biggest success came just a couple of months ago when they placed 2nd in DreamLeague.

In recent weeks both Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann and Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat left the team, leaving just SyndereN, Era and Qojqva on the squad. The team is expected to announce a new roster in the coming days, although it is unknown if they will be singing with a new organisation.

“We’d like to thank the team for the last six months, they have had some truly great achievements from attending The International 6 to a second place finish in the DreamLeague final,” said the organisation in a blog post. “We saw upcoming talent KheZu move over to Team Secret where he is continuing to move from strength to strength, YapzOr creating a new promising team with FATA, Feero, Forev and 343 and now a huge new opportunity for the remaining players of the squad. We’re wishing everyone all the best for 2017 and have no doubts that with their professional attitude, dedication to keep improving and hard work that they will go far. Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way and for a great time. See you again soon!”
