ESL extends paysafecard deal for another year

ESL has announced that it is extending its payment partner deal with paysafecard for another year.

The deal first started back in 2015, with paysafecard coming in as the payment partner for ESL events such as ESL One, the ESL CS:GO Pro League and many of the company’s regional competitions.

The extension to the deal now means that paysafecard will continue to work with ESL until at least 2018, although with both sides seemingly happy with the deal chances are it will probably last a little longer than that.

Udo Müller, CEO of paysafecard, about the partnership:

“We are very pleased to support the upcoming ESL Pro League season for the 3rd time in a row.  The thrilling matches, the spirit and the stunning passion within the community make these tournaments unforgettable. For us as an innovative pioneer of secure online payments, ESL offers very strong and attractive ways to engage directly with the gamers who we want to offer best possible services to. esports are now part of everyday life for many people and we are proud to be once again an active supporter of this growing industry!”

Ulrich Schulze, Managing Director Pro Gaming at ESL, added:

“Ever since 2015, paysafecard has shown us time and time again that they are a partner we can rely on. I am very happy to have them on board once more for 2017. I am sure they will help us raise the bar for both the ESL CS:GO Pro League as well as ESL One Cologne once more!”
