FaZe Clan has won their second CS:GO championship title of 2017, taking the win at ESL One New York with a 3-0 sweep over Team Liquid.
FaZe took the best-of-five in just three maps, earning themselves $125,000 as they won out on Inferno, Overpass and Mirage. FaZe opened up by going 15-0 against Team Liquid in the first half. From there Liquid fought back a little harder, but FaZe never looked less than dominant.
After crashing out of the PGL Major Krakow in July, FaZe seems to have turned things around with the addition of Olof ‘olofmeister’ Kajbjer Gustafsson, and Ladislav ‘GuardiaN’ Ladislav. Ladislav won at ESL One New York last year too, playing with Natus Vincere.
With a win for FaZe, North American Counter-Strike has shown its in a time of rapid change, and it’s nearly impossible to estimate which NA team will be dominant in any given tournament.
