Fnatic announces new League of Legends rosters

Last night Fnatic announced the 2017 rosters for both its LCS League of Legends team and its Challenger Series team.

The flagship LCS team sees Martin "Rekkles" Larssen as the only returning member from 2016, with former Origen players Paul "sOAZ" Boyer Maurice "Amazing" Stukenschneider being the two other players that competed in the LCS last split. Rasmus "Caps" Winther, formerly of Dark Passage, and former Immortals coach Jesse "Jesiz" Le round out the roster.

Interestingly this line up means the entire LCS team is made up of European players, something that is rarely seen these days, with teams often utilizing the option to bring in two foreign players, usually in the form of Koreans.

The Fnatic Challenger Series team includes more than a few big names, some of which played in the LCS last season. Mateusz "Kikis" Szkudlarek, Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen, Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer, Rasmus "MrRallez" Skinneholm and Johan "Klaj" Olsson make up the Challenger roster.

With a Challenger Series lineup that has LCS calibre players it wouldn’t be surprising to see Fnatic do well next year. It also wouldn’t be surprising to see these players used as substitutes for the main roster if things don’t work out.
