Gfinity have announced that they will be significantly increasing their support for Rocket League competitions in multiple ways.
For the first time Xbox One competitions will be held on the Gfinity platform, in addition to the PC/PS4 events that have been running throughout the year. The prize pools for the events will also be increased with the new Friday Cup, which will be replacing the Saturday Cup, having a prize pool of £250, £100 more than previously.
Starting from next week the UK based eSports company will host four online Rocket League tournaments each week. Mondays will see Xbox One players compete in for £60 in a winner takes all competition, while PC/PS4 players can take part in the same event on Tuesdays. On Thursdays Xbox One players will compete in a £150 tournament and Fridays will see the new £250 PC/PS4 competition take place.
“We’re always listening to our community and our new and improved Rocket League schedule reflects that,” said Martin Wyatt, Head of Partner Relations at Gfinity. “We’re always looking at which games are being played by our members. If you want to boost your eSports career, now is a great time to get involved on Gfinity. This month alone for example, we’re running over 100 free and premium cups and ladders, ranging from CS:GO to Rocket League.”
The new events combined with the increased prize pools means that Gfinity will be giving out over £2000 a month in Rocket League competitions.
