Gfinity London Call of Duty World League event is now four days long

Gfinity has announced that it has added an extra two days to its Gfinity London CWL event, making the competition a four day tournament.

The event will now start on Thursday January 26th and will run until Sunday January 29th.

This is thanks to the new format for the event. The sixteen teams will be split into four groups of four. Each team will play every team in their group in the round robin stage, with the top two advancing to the bracket stage and the bottom two being knocked out. This guarantees that every team will play at least three games. The group stage will take place on the first two days, with the bracket stage taking place on the final two days.

“As a result of the format, in order to ensure the event doesn’t become too demanding for our players, staff and spectators, the Gfinity CWL London has been extended from a two day event to a four day event, with the tournament now scheduled to start on Thursday, 26th January,” said Gfinity in a statement. “Anyone who has booked a ticket for Saturday, Sunday or the weekend, is welcome to visit the Arena on Thursday and Friday. We’re fully aware that most people will have work and school commitments, hence why we’ve opted to not formally sell tickets for these days.”
