Hi-Rez reveal Clash Royale style Smite Rivals title

Smite developers Hi-Rez announced Smite Rivals at the Hi-Rez Expo overnight. The title hold more than a few similarities to SuperCell’s Clash Royale.

Smite Rivals is a mobile and PC title, with players being able to play seamlessly on both platforms with the same account. It will also be free to play, as are all of Hi-Rez’ titles.

While we didn’t get to see much in the way of the game being played we did see enough to notice a few similarities between Rivals and Clash Royale. Both are tower defence games with lanes and card decks. It’s not quite in the straight clone territory as the Rivals map features three lanes, and a few other extra features, but the similarities are obvious.

More info is expected over the coming months, with the game expected to be available sometime this year.
