Korean BBQ chain buys top League of Legends team

Korean BBQ chain Genesis BBQ Chicken has purchased the ESC Ever LCK team.

The team played in the LCK Summer Split 2016 for the first time, establishing the ESC Ever name. However under the new deal the team will be known as BBQ Olivers. The team’s new logo is surely one of the best ever seen in eSports.

"Through support from BBQ—who lead Korea’s healthy dining culture—I am certain that Korean esports and BBQ will grow together," said KeSPA chairman Jeon Byung Heon. "Going forward, the association will not grow lazy in its efforts to create an healthy esports ecosystem and an esports culture everyone can enjoy."

BBQ Olivers will be competing in the upcoming LCK split.
