Mortal Kombat legend Sub Zero now available in Injustice 2

Injustice 2 continues to grow, with Mortal Kombat legend Sub Zero now available for those who’ve dropped the cash for Injustice 2’s ultimate or deluxe editions.

The crossover makes sense, NetherRealm Studios are responsible for both Mortal Kombat and Injustice 2 after all, but it’s still cool to watch the ice-cool ninja warrior show up to give the DC heroes a battering. If that’s a draw for you too, you can watch Sub Zero give Batman a pasting in his announcement trailer, below.

No special editions of Injustice 2? Sub Zero will be available for standalone purchase next week. No telling how he’ll fit into the meta surrounding the game just now, but his ice blasts seem to immobilise in a similar way to Green Lantern, while his punches and kicks feel chunky, letting him dish out the damage.

Fans of the franchise, and NetherRealm’s fighters in general, will no doubt be eager to take him out for a spin though, so expect him to show up a lot in the game’s online multiplayer this week as everyone gets to grips with exactly what he can do.
