North joins the ECS Season 3 Development League

FACEIT and Twitch have announced the details of the ECS Development League, including the teams that will be playing in it. 

The competition kicks off later today, with eight teams from Europe and eight teams from North America competing for a chance to play one of the relegation teams from last season for a spot in the main ECS league. 

Both competitions feature four invited teams and four qualified teams, who will compete in a round robin group stage. The top two teams will then get the chance to play in the relegation tournaments. 

In Europe the four invited teams are North, Gambit, Team Kinguin and Flipsid3 while the four qualified teams are PRIDE, Tengri, Rogue and Space Soldiers. 

In North America the four invited teams are Misfits, Renegades, Winterfox and Selfless, while the four qualified teams are Splyce, Denial Esports, Bees Money Crew and Premier Rejects. 

The action kicks off later tonight, with the community caster challenge returning that will see grassroots casters get a shot a calling the action from one of the biggest competitions in the world while being hosted by the official ECS channels.
