PEA plans to ban its teams from playing in the ESL Pro League according to report

A report from Slingshot eSports suggests that PEA will ban all teams that play in its league from competing in the rival ESL Pro League. 

PEA will be running its own league in 2017 in a similar fashion to the Pro League, which makes the move somewhat understandable. However players are apparently not happy with the rule, which may lead to some dropping out. 

PEA is made up of seven NA organisations, Team SoloMid, Team Liquid, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, Immortals, NRG Esports and compLexity Gaming. Many of these teams have competed in the ESL Pro League previously, with Cloud9 even winning the last season. It would be a major surprise if these teams did drop the Pro League in favour of PEA. 

The report also states that PEA proposed a “Global Finals” event to ESL that would see the finalists of multiple leagues battle it out in one location. This offer has supposedly been turned down.
