Philippine esports agency Tier One Entertainment gets foreign investment

Tier One Entertainment, the Philippine’s first gaming and esports talent agency, has just secured foreign investment from recently founded BITKRAFT Esports Ventures.

“We are fortunate that BITKRAFT has shown faith in the region” said esports veteran and Tier One co-founder Tryke Gutierrez as he announced the investment with his co-founder Alodia Gosiengfiao. “We have always believed that Southeast Asia has what it takes to take off in the international arena. With BITKRAFT on our side, the investment will fast-track our plans.”

The agency was founded in April 2017, and the fledgling company has described the investment as “significant”, mentioning they’re hoping to use the investment to expand the team, develop a talent studio and purchase production equipment.

Later, Tier One Entertainment wants to help grow gaming talent in Southeast Asia, training steamers, teams and shoutcasters. That’s all for the future, however.

“There is a lot of potential in the esports and gaming world, particularly in the Philippines,” said Gosiengfiao. “With BITKRAFT’s investment, we now have the means to create more careers in the esports industry by investing in talented people and supporting their growth.”
