Razer’s eSports focused PS4 pad costs £150 and is a GAME exclusive

A few weeks back eSports fans who play on the PS4 got excited when both Razer and Nacon announced new officially licensed controllers for the console that are design for pro players. Now more information on Razer’s offering has been revealed and it may put some people off.

The Razer Raiju Playstation 4 controller will set you back a whopping £149.99 in the UK and it will be sold exclusively in GAME from December 9th. Chances are the large price tag and GAME exclusivity will put some people off buying the controller.

While the price may seem a little on the high side the controller does offer some nifty extra features not found on the standard DualShock 4. The Raiju features two extra bumpers and two extra detachable triggers with trigger-stop switches and hair trigger mode, along with the ability to store two custom profiles that you can switch between instantly. Of course it also features all the standard DualShock 4 inputs and has detachable analog stick rubber caps, which should help prevent the issue of wearing down the sticks that has plagued many PS4 pads. However it is a wired controller, with a three meter braided USB cable to attach it to the PS4.

There is currently no word on the price or retail exclusivity of Nacon’s Revolution Pro Controller, however the official announcement said both would arrive before the end of the year in the UK.
