Epicenter: Moscow to feature DOTA 2 tournament in June

Epic Esports Events has announced that EPICENTER: Moscow will feature the organiser’s second DOTA 2 tournament in June later this year.

Qualifiers will begin in May, when teams throughout Europe, the CIS, North America, China and other regions will compete for a spot in the tournament. The group stage will then run from June 4-7, with the playoff finals taking place shortly after from June 9-11 at the VTB Ice Palace in Moscow. The ten teams that qualify will duke it out for a slice of the $500,000 prize pool.

This marks the second time Epic Esports Events will be hosting a DOTA 2 tournament after last year’s event in May 2016. Team Liquid emerged as victors after beating Newbee in the grand finals. As well as DOTA 2, previous EPICENTER tournaments have also featured competitions in CS:GO.

Tickets for EPICENTER: Moscow will be available for purchase in April.
