The former art director of 343 Industries Kenneth Scott has joined Oculus VR to head up its internal development team as art director, according to a tweet from the VR firm.
Scott was a founding member 343 Industries and worked to build the studio’s art department in 2008. He left 343 in January this year to take on a remote visual design consultant position with the company.
Scott’s addition follows news last month that Valve’s Aaron Nicholls and Michael Abrash would be joining the VR producer. Nicholls will be working with Atman Binstock, former lead engineer on Valve’s virtual reality project, who jumped ship Oculus VR to become chief architect in April.
What Oculus VR’s first-party team will be working on is not clear. But CEO Brendan Iribe said earlier this month that the company is considering the possibility of an MMO that can support one billion people. With Facebook now backing the hardware maker, such a thing may be possible in future.
