Polish studio working on UE4-powered game with Imgn.Pro

Ex-CD Projekt staff establish new dev team Fool’s Theory

A team of former Witcher 3 developers have left the company to form their own studio.

Called Fool’s Theory, the Poland-based company is led by ex-CD Projekt Red senior quest designer Jakub Rokosz. For its first game the studio is working with another Polish company, Imgn.Pro, which has previously worked on adventure game Kholat.

The new title will be powered by Unreal Engine 4. It’s described as as “much bigger than Kholat”, though few other details of the title were provided. A timer on the developer’s website is currently counting down to an announcement in 24 days time.

“We started working on a game that will be a daring combination of some isometric genres,” said studio founder Jakub Rokosz

“I don’t want to reveal too much details at this point other than we’re developing the game on Unreal Engine 4. It was a natural choice for us, taking into consideration how experienced the team is in working with this tool. I can assure you that the game will break some proven schemes and we’ll be revealing more information about it very soon.”
