FC Schalke 04 commit to LoL for another split, say they want to win worlds

FC Schalke 04’s League of Legends team was expected to qualify for the LCS easily this split. They went undefeated in the regular season and had a team of stars. However when the playoffs came around they lost in the first round, killing their chance. Many assumed this would be the end of the Schalke LoL team, but at a press conference this week the organisation announced that they will not be selling their spot in the Challenger Series.

At the press conference, which was reported on by Dot Esports, Schalke exec Moritz Beckers-Schwarz confirmed that the team will try and reach the LCS again next split. He also mentioned that they still believe they can win the LCS and make it to Worlds.

The team announced that Lennart "Smittyj" Warkus has already signed a contract for the next split, but did not confirm any other players. They did mention that change would be inevitable, so you can probably expect a slightly different roster from Schalke next split.
