Final Fantasy VII arrives for iOS devices

Final Fantasy VII is now available for iPhones and iPads on the Apple App Store, Square Enix has announced.

The $19.99 mobile release is a port of the current PC version on Steam, with a few notable tweaks including touch controls and easy button” options for turning off random encounters all together and maxing stats.

Square is rolling out a Final Fantasy Portable app alongside the release, which the publisher describes as a hub for all things Final Fantasy. The app will include various mini-games pulled directly from games in the series, including the Triple Triad card game from Final Fantasy VIII.

A remake of Final Fantasy VII is in development for PS4, with no release window attached to the upcoming title as of yet.
