Final Fantasy XV claims series’ second biggest UK launch

FIFA 17 maintains its top spot in the UK charts this week despite strong competition from the new Final Fantasy.

FFXV debuts in second place, enjoying the second-best UK launch ever for a Final Fantasy title behind FFXIII.

Ubisoft’s new extreme sports release Steep can manage only 24th in its first week, meanwhile, ranking as the fourth fastest selling winter sports title in UK history, just ahead of SSX Tricky.

Minecraft: Xbox Edition re-enters the Top Ten, while a big surge in The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition sees Bethesda’s RPG climb six places to 11th. The release of Super Mario Maker on the 3DS sees the game propelled back into the charts at No.25.

Pokemon Sun and Moon drop to eighth and ninth in the listings.
