Smart TV, VR and new ways of funding at UK conference

Final sessions for Evolve in London

The final line-up for next month’s Evolve in London has been set, and will feature a keynote by Palmer Luckey of Oculus3D, as well as sessions by Microsoft, nDreams and Develop.

The conference showcases new games technology, emerging platforms and brings together leading creatives from the worlds of development, mobile and social media.

New speakers this year include Rob Stevens from Microsoft Soho Productions on smart TV and Aj Grand-Scrutton of Dlala Studios who will recount the pitfalls and highs that come from setting up your own studio.

Luckey’s keynote is about how virtual reality is finally set to push games to the next level.

Develop editor Will Freeman will chair a panel discussion on the best and worst part of crowdsourcing and using Kickstarter. The panellists will include games writer, journalist and broadcaster Naomi Alderman and Thomas Bidaux of ICO Partners.

Patrick O’Luanaigh of nDreams explains techniques for delivering strong revenues while being fair to your player base. And Freelance journalist Stuart Dredge explores how kids interact with touchscreen programs and the implications for future development.

The conference takes place on December 11th at the DeVere WestOne, Portland Place, London W1, and starts at 10.30am.
