Owlchemy Labs working on first-person job simulator for Vive VR

First game for Valve’s virtual reality headset revealed

Some play games to escape from the daily grind, but this doesn’t appear to be the market being targeted by the first game confirmed for SteamVR.

Owlchemy Labs has confirmed that it is working on a game called Job Simulator. The title is set in 2050 at a time when robots have assumed responsibility for most of the roles formally assumed by mankind. This has left human’s with VR as their only lingering connection to the dignity of work.

“The path that lead us to this moment is quite insane, and we’re still in the process of unpacking it all,” the studio said. “Ever since the Oculus Rift Kickstarter, we’ve been fervent believers in the potential of VR and ecstatic about the forthcoming widespread consumer adoption of such a transformative new medium.
