Flipkart lists Wii U limited edition consoles at Rs 39,990

Flipkart is now selling two variants of the Wii U at the same price as the PlayStation 4 – Rs 39,990.

These aren’t just the standard Wii U consoles though – the retailer has listed the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD Limited Edition bundle and the Mario & Luigi Deluxe 32GB bundle, which retail for $300 each in the US.

Both bundles are available for significantly less than Rs 39,990 at various independent retailers – around Rs 30,000.

The Zelda bundle includes the following:

• The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U GamePad
• The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD game download
• The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia gigital download
• Wii U AC Adapter
• Wii U GamePad AC Adapter

• Wii U GamePad Cradle
• Wii U GamePad Stand Support
• Wii U Console Stand

The Mario & Luigi bundle includes:

• New Super Mario Bros. U game

• Wii U AC Adapter
• Wii U GamePad AC Adapter
• High Speed HDMI Cable
• Sensor Bar
• Wii U GamePad Cradle

The Wii U isn’t officially available in India, mind you, so Flipkart has probably imported these itself or sourced them through the grey market. Either way, don’t expect much in the way of warranty since Nintendo doesn’t have an official presence in India.

At Rs 39,990, it’s a hard sell, especially with the PS4 available at the same price, with warranty support and a guaranteed supply of games.

While Flipkart has listed the Wii U console, it has only a handful of games available, and Indian distributors are reluctant to bring in games for a console that isn’t officially supported..
