Fnatic announce Deezer as organisation’s first ever music sponsor

Fnatic and music streaming service Deezer have today announced a partnership that will see Deezer become Fnatic’s first ever musical partner.

What is a musical partner? It means that Fnatic team members will be listening to music via Deezer and sharing their personal playlists to Deezer users in Europe, North America and Asia.

“As a majority of FNATIC fans already listen to music while gaming, Deezer is the perfect community platform for gamers who want to combine their love of gaming as well as their favorite songs, giving music lovers an opportunity to also discover their Flow,” says Ralph Pighin, Deezer’s vice president for Central & Eastern Europe, in a press release.

“We’re extremely excited to enter into a partnership with Deezer, a leading and innovative music streaming service. Music makes an important part of everyone’s life and so is gaming for our massive fanbase. Deezer’s passion for music makes it a perfect fit for Fnatic. Our partnership enables us to enhance the experience of Fnatic and esports fans alike and will see us breaking new grounds in esports partnerships,” added Fnatic’s CEO Wouter Sleijffers.

Deezer is a music streaming service that has over 12m active users spread across 185 countries worldwide. The company is headquartered in Paris, and is best known for its musical algorithm Flow, which enables users to listen to an uninterrupted stream of music and has reminded me in the last paragraph of this news story that I could definitely make a joke about Fnatic getting their Flow back thanks to Deezer.

Oops.
