Aaron Loeb responsible for some 400 staff at free-to-play developer

Former EA exec joins Kabam to head up North America studios

Former EA exec Aaron Loeb has been appointed as Kabam’s senior VP of its North American studios.

He will oversee all of the free-to-play developer’s operations in San Francisco and Vancouver, where its two studios house more than 400 employees.

Loeb previously worked at EA as vice president, where he also oversaw the development of games including The Simpsons: Tapped Out and Monopoly Slots.

“Aaron Loeb is a triple-A talent who will push our first-party games to new heights,” said Kabam CEO Kevin Chou.

“He is a pillar in the games world who helped build the robust and growing industry as we know it today.”

Kabam, which focuses on the development of free-to-play titles, has previously released titles such as The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth and Fast & Furious 6: The Game. It is currently working on a new title based on The Hunger Games.
