Free-to-play F1 game in-bound

Codemasters is developing F1 Online: The Game, a free-to-play browser title due in Q1 2012.

The game is part of Codemasters’ deal with F1, which will see the launch of a blockbuster retail game, F1 2011, next month.

In the free-to-play title, gamers take part in range of online multiplayer races, with official drivers teams and tracks. It will also include social network integration and leaderboards.

Players can also create their own team , and can manage the commercial, production, research and race crew functions.
