New CEO Don Mattrick continues company restructuring

Fresh departures at Zynga mark complete exec overhaul

Zynga’s senior VP of mobile Travis Boatman, head of acquisitions Terence Fung and studio president Steve Chiang have all left the company.

As reported by Venturebeat, the departures mark a complete shake-up of the management team since the appointment of Don Mattrick as CEO nearly a year ago.

Fung has now joined mobile game publisher Storm8 as chief strategy officer. No news is currently available on where Boatman and Chiang may be headed next.

A person “close to the company” claimed some executives who have left in the last year departed of their own accord, while others was asked to leave or by Mattrick.

The new look leadership at the company consists of the likes of former Best Buy exec Davie Lee as chief financial and accounting officer and ex-Microsoft exec Alex Garden as president of Zynga Studios. Founder and former CEO Mark Pincus has also stepped away from his duties as CPO to serve as chairman of the board in a non-operational capacity.
