The annual Game Developers Conference returns in March 2020 for its 34th year. Taking place at the newly decorated Moscone Center in San Francisco, the event will feature practical and relevant insight into the art and business of game development. GDC’s Conference tracks span topics from in-depth business strategy to hardcore game design and programming sessions.

Two of GDC 2020’s talks have already been revealed: The first is a talk on the Visual arts track from Lab Zero creative director Mariel Cartwright who will be presenting “The Art of ‘Indivisible’: From Prototype to Release,” which will offer a behind the scenes look of the development of the action platformer’s unique art-style.

The second, on the Advocacy track, features a talk from Respawn character lead Mohammad Alavi, who will explain the development process of a number of characters from the massively sucessful battle royale game Apex Legends, which won Best Multiplayer Game at the 2019 Golden Joysticks.

MCV/DEVELOP editor Seth Barton will be in attendance, reporting on the four-day event.
