Echo Fox announce supergroup Call of Duty roster ahead of WWII launch

Echo Fox has revealed its Call of Duty roster just shy of WWII’s launch.

The esports organisation has signed a well regarded team, picking up Brice Faccento, Renato ‘Saints’ Forza, Adam ‘Assault’ Garcia and Peirce ‘Gunless’ Hillman. Each of the quartet had a string of individual successes, making Echo Fox’s roster something of a Call of Duty supergroup, and one to watch when the game’s release on November 3 rolls around.

Each game in the Call of Duty franchise is a season, so there is an Advanced Warfare season, an Infinite Warfare season and there will be a WWII season. Faccento played for Infinite Warfare’s season with the team Rise Nation and won the first Call of Duty Infinite Warfare major, getting victory in the Call of Duty World League Las Vegas Open in December, being named as the tournament MVP for his performance. Rise Nation finished the year with a fourth place finish at the year’s $1.5m Call of Duty World League Championship back in August, before he was released from his team at the end of the month.

Forza has been playing with Luminosity Gaming since 2015, and in addition to winning the CWL Anaheim Open in June, he capped off the Infinite Warfare season and his stint with Luminosity with a third place finish at the Call of Duty World League Championship.

Garcia comes to the team from Cloud9, and while the team didn’t win any major events in the Infinite Warfare season, they clutched a close second at CWL Vegas, where they lost to the Rise Nation squad that Faccento played for.

Finally, there’s Hillman who started the season with eUnited, gaining attention after he won the CWL Atlanta Open with the team and grabbed the tournament’s coveted MVP award. This led to him being traded to FaZe, where he finished the season.

They’re an individually talented roster, one that Echo Fox will no doubt be hoping they make an immediate impact on the scene as each organisation tries to get to get to grips with not just a new game, but a return to the WWII era and a loss of the futuristic gadgetry (and jetpacks) that has recently been a hallmark of the series.
