Gamescom ties with trade duo MCV and Develop

The worlds largest games show in Cologne has agreed a wide-ranging partnership with MCV and Develop.

Included in the alliance is a dedicated lounge area which will be available to use for free by readers of the Intent Media publications and websites. Special editions of both print editions will also be produced for Gamescom, with extra circulation via a series of high traffic areas.

The latest Gamescom event will begin in Cologne on Wednesday August 15th and run until Sunday August 19th. The first day is business-only. This year’s partner nation is Korea, demonsrating the significant international strength of the show.

"MCV and Develop have always supported us on our journey to becoming the largest trade show in the world and the most important for the European market," said Gamescom’s Franko Fischer.

"Both our show and its media partners have big stories and boast the best business contacts in Europe and beyond – we are delighted to tie again with MCV and Develop."

This year’s Gamescom includes new features such as more exhibition space (140.000 sm, +15 percent),new topics such as mobile gaming and lead exhibitors such as (see the attached list) to get in touch with even more international companies than ever. Korea as partner country 2012 offers new business models and learnings to everyone in the industry.

Our focus is on the business days in halls four and five, which is well worth a visit, but Gamescom also opens the door to a huge European consumer audience," said publisher Stuart Dinsey.
