Gamescom to be event partner at the MCV Women in Games Awards 2019

The MCV Women in Games Awards return for a fifth year running on Friday June 28th. And this year we’re pleased to announce that Gamescom will be supporting us as event partner.

There are ten awards up for grabs this year, across the following categories:

  • . Rising Star of the Year – Development
  • . Rising Star of the Year – Business
  • . Creative Impact of the Year
  • . Technical Impact of the Year
  • . Comms Impact of the Year
  • . Businesswoman of the Year
  • . Journalist of the Year
  • . Campaigner of the Year
  • . Mentor of the Year
  • . Outstanding Contribution

Tim Endres, Director of Gamescom at organiser Koelnmesse commented: “We have maintained a connection with MCV in a spirit of partnership in the context of Gamescom for many years now. Which is why we are pleased to be part of the Women in Games Awards. The Women in Games Awards are a great platform offering an additional, high-profile stage to the impact and contributions of women within the games industry. We are very happy to support this and look forward to further impulses originating from Women in Games and the event.”

Following on from last year’s brilliantly-received event, we’re once again working in partnership with Facebook on the awards, with the company hosting us once again at their London office. You can now head to the MCV Women in Games Awards website for the 2019 shortlist and further details on the event. Tickets are limited unfortunately and attendance is by invite only.
