Gaming’s biggest controversies: 1/10

The first beautiful example of ill-informed public figures losing the plot over video games, Sega CD release Night Trap combined a dangerous mix of ACTUAL VIDEO (it’s almost real!!!), near-naked hotties and B-movie violence.

Censorship-humping senator Joe Lieberman attacked the game for encouraging users to slaughter the nubile stars – incorrectly, as it turned out. Lieberman wasn’t the only codger to label it sick” and shameful” either.

The title was pulled from shelves and even made the 10 O’Clock News in the UK. No-one mentioned the rubbish acting, though.
