Gfinity to hold European Halo World Championship 2017 Qualifier at Wembley

Gfinity has finally revealed the details of the upcoming European Halo World Championship 2017 Qualifier: London.

The event will take place between February 17th and 19th, and in a surprising move it will be held at The Great Hall in Wembley Stadium and not at the Gfinity Arena.

The best Halo teams from around Europe will compete at the event in an attempt to win a spot at the World Championships later this year. Teams are currently able to compete in online cups to secure a place at the Wembley LAN event.

Martin Wyatt, Head of Partnerships at Gfinity said; “The opportunity to take Europe’s best Halo teams to one of the most iconic sporting stadiums in the world is very exciting. This is the first time an eSports Tournament is being hosted at Wembley Stadium connected by EE, further testament to Gfinity’s capability and dedication to giving teams unique experiences.”

“We saw European Halo reach new heights at last year’s Halo World Championship,” stated 343 Industries Esports Producer Tahir Hasandjekic. “These elite players have made immense progress since last year, and we’re excited to see who comes out on top at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.”
