Up to $90,000 in investment up for grabs in exchange for studio equity and 10% of a project’s revenue beyond $200,000 in sales

Global Top Round accelerator offering first-time devs $40,000

An accelerator aimed at up-and-coming developers has opened applications for this year’s programme.

Global Top Round will offer ten developers a minimum of $40,000 in investment to fund their first game, increasing up to $90,000.

In exchange, studios will part with studio equity and, once the funded project passes $200,000 in sales, 10 per cent of the game’s net revenue.

The studios will also be given $10,000 to market their debut titles at launch.

Once submissions have closed on June 24th, 20 teams will be invited to the GTC Conference in Cologne, Germany on August 15th and 16th. This number will then be whittled down to the final ten.

“In today’s crowded market, oftentimes start-ups are only as valuable as their liquid assets and revenue from their last game,” said GTR director Peter Van Dyke.

“Our goal is to help ten brilliant developers gain initial momentum to fund development of their debut game and future project while growing the value of the company to ensure a sustainable creative future."
