GODSENT hires Niko ‘naSu’ Kovanen as new CS:GO head coach

Swedish esports oufit GODSENT have signed Niko ‘naSu’ Kovanen as the new head coach for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.

He replaces Graham ‘messioso’ Pitt who has been handling the role in the interim this summer, who will be returning to a position with RFRSH Entertainment on the organisational side, with his next task being the BLAST Pro Series, debuting at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena on November 25.

The change-up means that PENTA will now also need a new head coach.

Kovanen starts workign with the team today. In a press release on the GODSENT website, he’s said:

“I’m extremely happy and motivated to start working with GODSENT. It’s a team with an incredible potential and firepower in the lineup, and after having talked with Kasper Hvidt, Sports Director of RFRSH, I’m happy to say we share the same vision for the team and in regards to coaching in general, and I feel really good knowing i’ve got the full support of RFRSH behind me.

“We’ve got busy weeks and tons of work ahead us, but with the potential and the talent on the team, I am convinced we will get on the right path. We want to build up a solid and steady performance pattern and improve as individuals and as a team, and that work starts today.”
