Grand Theft Auto V No.1 for the seventh time; Call of Duty Ghosts back in Top Ten

Grand Theft Auto V is once again No.1 in the GfK Chart-Track Top 40.

This is the seventh time that Rockstar’s crime title has take the top spot, meaning it has more No.1s than any other Grand Theft Auto title.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare returns to second place, while FIFA 15 drops to third with a ten per cent sales decline.

But Advanced Warfare isn’t the only Call of Duty title in the Top Five – 2013’s Ghosts shoots up the charts from No.30 to fifth place with a 401 per cent boost in sales. This is thanks to a retailer promotion.

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 slips two places to sixth position, while its online racer The Crew drops four places to No.10 with a 22 per cent dip in sales last week.

Meanwhile both Minecraft SKUs drop down the chart ever so slightly – the Xbox Edition drops to No.7, with sales declining four per cent, while the PlayStation Edition falls to ninth place after a three per cent drop in sales.

And this week there are some new releases. Deep Silver’s PS4 and Xbox One re-release of Saints Row IV and new standalone expansion – Re-Elected/Gat Out of Hell – debuts in fourth place.

Further down the chart, Big Ben’s sports title Rugby 15 debuts in eighth place.

Below is the software Top Ten for the week ending January 24th:
