Halo’s first major Xbox One ‘journey’ still planned for 2014

The Halo franchise’s next major entry is still scheduled to land in 2014, Halo PR manager Rob Semsey has assured.

Semsey took to Twitter to quell the noise made over the franchise’s absence from this week’s Xbox Wire post, which mentioned several other upcoming Xbox One titles scheduled to launch in 2014.

Xbox Wire today mentioned a few 2014 titles; Halo on Xbox One not listed due to official name of the next title not announced yet,” Semsey wrote.

Rest assured your next Halo journey WILL begin in 2014. #staycalm”

The still unnamed effort was revealed last year, as part of Microsoft’s E3 press announcements. The firm indicated at the time that the new game would take place following the events of Halo 4.

The latest release in the franchise, Halo: Spartan Assault, launched on Xbox One last month. The top-down shooter should arrive on Xbox 360 at some point in the earlier portion of 2014 as well.
