New features to project management tool include improved performance, full chat, avatars and automatic task scheduling

Hansoft 7 goes live

Middleware firm Hansoft has launched the 7th iteration of its project management tool.

Hansoft 7 can be used by developers to help with collaborative scheduling, real-time reporting, bug tracking, quality assurance, workload coordination and document management.

The latest version includes a new scrum with kanban boards, customisable floating panels, and improved scaling for better collaboration during stand-ups and in conference rooms.

Hansoft also stated that it has improved performance with up to 50 per cent faster login times on large programs and databases, as well as up to 50 per cent less CPU usage when the tool is idle.

Other features included in the management tool include a full chat system, personal news feeds, avatar images and automatic task scheduling.

“Hansoft 7 is our largest release ever and takes social development to a new level,” said Hansoft chief development officer Hans Andersson.

“For example, a whole lot of goodies for team members have been added, like the new, super-sleek to do list, a live newsfeed to keep everyone in the loop and a chat where you can paste, edit and view images in the comments stream directly. But I also want to point out the performance enhancements we have made, like higher frame rate and up to 50% less CPU, making Hansoft faster than ever, yet less resource demanding.

“The rollout of Hansoft 7 has been a success, and we have noticed how team members who previously not used Hansoft that actively is now much more involved. All the positive response has convinced us we are moving in the right direction.”
