How much does the most expensive copy of Dying Light cost? £250,000

Yes, that’s a quarter of a million pounds.

What on earth could GAME and Techland possibly be offering that they think could entice an individual to pay 250,000 for a copy of Dying Light?

To quote from the press release verbatim:

Finally, for those looking to take Zombie protection to the next level, GAME and Techland are also offering a unique and exclusive ‘Zombie Home Edition’. For 250,000, your house can be apocalypse-proofed, including barbed wire surround, a console and copy of the game to play in true safety. The price includes a trip to Poland to meet the Dying Light development team who’ll help improve your Zombie fighting skills with their own Zombie Consultant and parkour lessons.”

Make of that what you will. But it’s probably worth mentioning that 125,000 version of Grid 2 Codemasters announced in 2013. That remains unsold, incidentally (UPDATE 1: It appears that may not in fact be the case).

GAME has also confirmed that it will be running over 40 midnight launches for the physical release of Dying Light (the digital version came out last month).

UPDATE 2: Here’s the full blurb for theZombie Home Edition, which according to Techland is actually called theMy Apocalypse Collectors Edition:

The centerpiece of this one-of-a-kind edition is a fortified zombie apocalypse-proofed house that will be built to order by UK-based Tiger Log Cabins. The house comes fully equipped with all live-in amenities and also includes an upper deck with vantage points and an escape hatch, arsenal storage for weaponry, and of course a living area with TV, Xbox One, and the latest sound system to play Dying Light on.

The My Apocalypse” Collectors Edition will also include zombie survival-focused parkour lessons from Ampisound, custom merchandise and additional in-game perks that will let you kill time while the world around you mercilessly falls into zombie anarchy.
