HTC acknowledges ‘multiple issues’ with Vive deliveries

Tech company HTC has for the first acknowledged the issues that have been plaguing HTC Vive customers.

Complaints about the ordering process and delayed deliveries have been doing the rounds for days, with reports that all non-Paypal orders were facing problems.

HTC has denied credit card issues, however, and insisted that there have not been any delays.

We understand that multiple issues have arisen in the past two days and we are working hard to resolve them as quickly and efficiently as possible,” it said. We appreciate your patience as we identify these issues and work to solve them.

Both credit card and PayPal orders are currently shipping. There is no difference in order fulfillment based on the payment method used.

We have a first in, first out policy for Vive order fulfillment. There were a small number of orders at the beginning of April that were processed out of sequential order. However, we have corrected the situation and all future shipments will be sent in the order in which they were received.”

HTC insisted that Vive order fulfillment is on track without delays”, although did concede that it has released some conflicting information on the problems. We acknowledge there were some inconsistencies in our communication,” it added. We have taken the steps to align all messaging moving forward.”

It also confirmed that those who paid for express shipping but saw their headset sent out by economy will receive a refund.
