To celebrate the launch of Bethesda’s upcoming Vive exclusive, Fallout 4 VR, HTC has announced a brand-new bundle deal for its virtual reality headset.
Starting from today (October 2nd), every Vive purchase will come with a redemption code for Fallout 4 VR, which releases on December 12th, effectively giving buyers this 39.99 game for free.
Based on the award-winning Fallout 4, which has been the recipient of more than 200 ‘Best of’ awards, including the DICE and BAFTA Game of the Year, the virtual reality version of Bethesda’s RPG juggernaut has been redesigned with all-new combat, crafting and building systems. It also won Best VR Game at this year’s Gamescom, and had AMD’scorporate vice president Roy Taylor calling it "an industry game-changer" back in April at this year’s VR World Congress, where he likened the title to "the Mario, the Sonic the Hedgehog of VR."
"Fallout 4 VR is the most anticipated title for VR this holiday, and the game development team at Bethesda Game Studios is delivering on the promise with a full-length triple-A open-world game that takes advantage of Vive’s incredible room-scale immersion for a mind-blowing experience in the Wasteland,” said Joel Breton, GM of Vive Studios.
The promise of a game with near endless content, including hundreds of locations, characters, and quests, fully playable in VR, is something that we have been focused on providing for the VR gaming community. We are now thrilled to provide this incredible game to new Vive owners and eagerly look forward to game’s launch on Vive this December.”
