Intel Developer Blog: Details on how Intel users can use AWS to connect with the Internet of Things

Improve IoT compatibility with Amazon Web Services

With so many diverse things connecting to the internet, one of the biggest challenges is to get them to talk to each other and exchange information freely.

Now there’s a solution to this problem, in the shape of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT platform, which creates exciting commercial opportunities for developers and entrepreneurs using the Intel IoT Developer Kit.

With AWS IoT, Amazon aims to extend the functionality of the Intel Edison Board by improving its ability to connect with other devices. Any devices using the AWS IoT Thing SDK to connect to Amazon’s cloud can be interacted with.

The IoT Starter Kit takes full advantage of AWS IoT, and features an Intel Edison Board and Grove Indoor Environmental Kit from Seeed Studios. With the Grove kit, it is possible to connect up to 11 sensors at once, and use wireless technology to store data in the cloud.

You can discover more about the Intel Edison Board on the IDZ website, including support forums that provide additional help and guidance.
