The Indie Fund’s first title Q.U.B.E. has made more than $90,000 after four days on Steam.
Announced on the group’s blog, the revenue received was enough for developer Toxic Games to repay its full investment on the game, release on January 6th, which has now sold more than 12,000 copies.
Q.U.B.E. is a first person puzzler set in an abstract world where players must navigate through levels by manipulating coloured cubs.
The Indie Fund originally put in $42,000 into the title, but invested another $48,000 after it became clear the project would go over budget.
The group also revealed that with the money paid off, it was in discussions to bring the game to other platforms beyond PC.
The indie Fund was put together in 2010 by a group developers such as Braid creator Joanthan Blow, 2D Boy, and Flashbang Studios founder Matthew Wegner to help fund small independent developers to complete their projects.
