Online games firm hopes to expand new team to 50 developers

InnoGames’ Dusseldorf studio now open

The new InnoGames development studio in Dusseldorf, Germany is now officially open.

The outfit will be focused on developing a mobile game powered by the Unity engine, which is due for release in 2016.

There are currently 20 people working in Dusseldorf, but the online games publisher has said the team “might grow up to 50 employees during the mid-term”.

Plans to open a new studio were first announced back in September.

“The Dusseldorf office is supposed to become a main factor in our mobile strategy,” said studio manager Dennis Rohlfing (pictured).

“The Unity engine gives us a great technical base for our project. The goal is to publish a mobile game that is one of the best of its kind in 2016.”

Founder and CEO Hendrik Klindworth added: "A second development studio is definitely a milestone in our company’s history."

InnoGames hopes to hire around 100 new employees this year.
