Insomniac says digital pre-orders coming to Xbox Live

Xbox One owners will soon be able to pre-order titles via the Xbox Live marketplace.

That’s according to Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac, which in an episode of Sunset TV – as spotted by Joystiq – has said: If you pre-order the game digitally, you will get the Day One Edition content. You can’t pre-order it digitally yet, but soon you will be able to."

Sunset Overdrive is due out on October 28th. Of course, this policy could vary by region so it’s impossible to say whether similar plans are in place for the UK.

Sony last month listed a number of PS4 games that will be available to pre-order on PSN, all of which after purchase will be pre-loaded onto a user’s system in time for launch.
