One-day conference and business networking event for toy and game inventors will take place in September

Inventor event to seek out the next big toys and games

Develop’s sister publication ToyNews is to hold a new one-day conference and business networking event for budding toy and game inventors.

The Toy & Game Inventors Workshop will take place at Rich Mix, Bethnal Green Road, London E1 on Monday, September 22nd.

The event will provide both practical advice to delegates, along with the opportunity to actually get their ideas and inventions in front of leading toy manufacturers, distributors and retailers.

The morning conference will provide valuable sessions on legal, toy safety, manufacturing, retail and marketing issues.

After a free lunch, delegates will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas and inventions to representatives from leading toy manufacturers and distributors. NDA documents will also be created for all delegates, ensuring peace of mind for all.

Tickets cost £99, with the ticket price including access to the conference, a free lunch and the opportunity to pitch.

A heavyweight consumer and business media PR campaign will be handled by miPR.

"There are thousands of inventors and would-be inventors who are desperate to get their toys and games to market, but need advice and an in-road into the toy industry," said Lisa Carter, publisher of ToyNews.

"We have been running pieces on a number of these inventors in ToyNews over the last few months, and the reaction we have had from the industry has been overwhelmingly positive.

"This event will actually give them the chance to get first hand advice from toy manufacturers and distributors, as well as pick up invaluable tips from the conference programme."
