Sports Interactive studio director talks-down chances for PC titles on new Apple platform

iPad â??won’t offer full PC experience’

Miles Jacobson, the man responsible for Football Manager’s recent iPhone success and Sports Interactive studio director, has told Develop that “it’s unlikely [we ’ll] see full blown PC and Mac games on the iPad.”

Talking to Develop in a feature about the prospects of the iPad, Jacobson seemed to dash any hopes that a full version of the Football Manager title would be coming to the device.

“[The iPad is] a giant iPod that happens to have some features available that make it its own platform, particularly in the GUI side of things,” he said.

“What it isn’t is a home computer. It’s unlikely they’ll see full blown PC and Mac games on the device.”

The full feature can be read here.
