Sessions to look at Killer7, No More Heroes, Lost Odyssey, Final Fantasy and Resident Evil

Japanese dev stars head to GDC08

Jamil Moledina, executive director of the GDC, has revealed more new sessions for the event on his Director’s Cut blog, unveiling a number of talks from notable figures in the Japanese games industry.

Composer Masafumi Takada has agreed to deliver a retrospective on his work, including tracks made for Killer 7, God Hand, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, and No More Heroes.

Meanwhile Ray Nakazato of FeelPlus will look at the cross-cultural development of new RPG Lost Odyssey.

Plus, Time Pilot and Street Fighter II creator Yoshiki Okamoto, now CEO of Game Republic, will also be on hand to explain his design process in a session entitled ‘Creativity in the Form of Improvement’.

There are also two sessions looking ahead to Final Fantasy XIII: Square-Enix’ Technical Research GM Taku Murata will provide "a detailed talk about Square Enix’s switchover to a common development platform", while a related Art of Final Fantasy sessions sees art director Isamu Kamikokuryo interviewed by Bungie’s Steve Theodore about the style of the series and the artist’s inspirations.
