John ‘Revan’ Boble leaves MLG

Call of Duty caster and analyst John ‘Revan’ Boble has decided to leave his position at MLG and return to school.

Revan has been a prominent voice in the world of Call of Duty for some years, and was one of the main broadcasters for the CWL last year. However just as the new season is about to begin he has decided to leave MLG, and the CWL, to return to school.

“I have left MLG. Looks like Vegas was my last event for awhile,” said Revan in a tweet. “I’m returning to my Chem studies. Thanks for the memories it was a fun ride.”

After the new first broke Dexerto reached out to Revan and he gave the following statement.

“So I live on Long Island and MLG is located within NYC. My daily commute takes roughly 4 hours a day: I live around 20 minutes from the nearest train station which is then at least a 1 hour ride into the city then another 15-20 minute walk to the offices. I couldn’t afford to live closer to the city and the commute was really getting to me. It affected my mood coming in to work and leaving as well. I did this throughout Black Ops 2 and Ghosts but that was when I was first starting and trying to make a good impression there. I just couldn’t do it anymore and there was no option to live closer to reduce travel time. I wouldn’t call it a retirement. If they want to contact me out for events they still can.”
